Change on outgoing email settings

Dear Customers,

As an improvement to our service, we have put in place new spam filters, therefore there are some changes in the outgoing email settings.

The new settings are:

Outgoing E-mail: mail-out.wavespeed.net

The incoming e-mail remains as is.

IP Migration

Dear Customers,

In context of the upgrade of our network, we are migrating certain of our network services to a new IP Address space. Changes that might affect you are:

  • Primary NameServer (ns1.wavespeed.net) will be changed from 217.27.39.2 to 91.184.192.18
  • Secondary NameServer (ns2.wavespeed.net) will be changed from 82.102.95.2 to 91.184.192.2

Furthermore, on Monday 8/1/2007 we will be migrating our SpeedDSL home users to new IP Addressing as well. Your new IP address will be 91.184.202.xxx, where xxx are the last 3 digits of your current IP address.

WaveSpeed launches online account renewal

We have launched our online renewal service. Our subscriber can now login to their account and renew or change their service package by themselves. Simply click on “My Account”, login and then click on “Renew my account” link.

Home DSL IP address migration

We would like to inform our customers that next week, all ip addresses provided to our SPEED-DSL customers will be migrated to WaveSpeed’s own ip address space. This migration will affect only customers on our home DSL service platform.

New E-Mail System

WaveSpeed is going to migrate all users to a new E-Mail system, starting Saturday 22/09/2006 at 12:00AM.

The new E-Mail system will provide the following benefits, over the previous one:

  • Powerful AJAX web mail, accessible from anywhere in the world
  • Online Collaboration Suite, which includes Contacts and Calendar client
  • IMAP and POP3, with optional connection encryption for secure tranfer of your messages, access to the server, using a 3rd-party E-Mail client

In some cases passwords might get reset to a random password, due to incompatibility of the new E-Mail server with the old one. In case you experience such problems, please contact support at: 22-870220.

Also, in cased you need your e-mail address, to be different than your user name (ie: create an alias), please contact support in order to address this problem.

New settings (Active from: 22/09/2006, at 12:00AM):

  • Incoming IMAP/POP3 Server: mail.mailspeed.net
    • NOTE: Your new username is your Speed-DSL account username, followed by the domain name, ie: username@mailspeed.net
  • Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.mailspeed.net
    • NOTE: The Outgoing server REQUIRES authentication, using the same credentials as the POP3/IMAP

WaveSpots

WaveSpots, our high speed wireless HotSpot service will be launched soon. WaveSpots will cover most of the cafeterias and other popular public places in Nicosia and their use will be free of charge.

Broadband Telephony Service

We are glad to announce our Broadband Telephony Service. Our subscribers can now apply for this new service.
